Volkswagen lifts the lid on the Beetle GRC

DW Motorsport has covered the development of the Volkswagen Beetle GRC car closely since it was first announced back in February.

We’ve heard from the drivers Scott Speed and Tanner Foust, but now it’s time to hear from the people at Volkswagen who put the car together.

In the video below, we hear from VW Motorsport director Jost Capito, VW Motorsport Technical Manager Eduard Weidl and VW Exterior Designer Nico Muehr as they talk us through the design and build process of the Volkswagen Beetle GRC.

The Volkswagen Beetle GRC will make it’s long awaited début at this weekend’s Red Bull Global Rallycross double header in Los Angeles with Tanner Foust behind the wheel.
