Subaru Motorsports USA’s popular Launch Control online TV series has been added to streaming service Amazon Prime ahead of the premier of the show’s seventh season.
The show, which is a production of Formula Photographic and Bowes Media with the support of Subaru of America, gives a behind the scenes look at the Japanese manufacturer’s factory-backed rally and rallycross programmes in the US.
Launch Control has been streamed on social media and YouTube since it debuted in 2013. Season 7 will premier on August 28 on both Prime Video and YouTube. Four episodes will be posted at first, with the series then continuing with its traditional format of releasing a new episode every two weeks. Ahead of that, Season 6 has already been uploaded to the Amazon service.
“Racing is in our blood, and nowhere is that passion easier to see than in Launch Control,” said William Stokes, motorsports manager for Subaru of America. “We’re proud to bring the series to Amazon Prime Video to give fans the chance to experience the thrill of rally and rallycross anywhere and on any device – including in their living rooms.”

The upcoming seventh season will document the team’s 2019 season as it strives to become the first team in history to clinch both the US national rally and US national rallycross titles.
The challenge has been successful so far, with David Higgins and Craig Drew topping the American Rally Association series standings with Oliver Solberg and Denis Giraudet also winning this season. In Americas Rallycross, new signing Scott Speed leads the points, and Chris Atkinson and Patrik Sandell, as well as Speed, have all won events.
Season 7 will also take viewers inside the team’s state-of-the-art new headquarters in Vermont, and tell the story of the team’s switch to a historically-inspired livery for the 2019 season.
Launch Control is available in the UK on Amazon Prime. Alternatively, it can be viewed on YouTube here.
